I'm a native Coloradan who grew up not knowing a home without pets. Pets of all sorts from my favorite guinea pig named Mickey, of course, to prize winning ducks and rabbits at the Arapahoe County fair, through my 4-H work. My father was in law enforcement, and his choice of guard dogs for his family while he worked nights was a long line of German Shepherds. He knew when he had to go on shift that his family was safe while he was away. Those were the days when we didn't even lock the doors at night. Of course, with Princess, or Panda, or King guarding, and on the lookout at the front door, who'd bother us? I had not known the pleasure of caring for cats until later in my life. A sweet kitty named Kitty came into my life, and for 18 years we were together through thick and thin, and thick again. She died in my arms a year ago, and I was so fortunate to have found her and for us to have shared our lives together. She must have been all of six-weeks old when I found her with her head caught in a chain link fence....abandoned. I rescued her from her predicament, and while walking home with her clinging to my body, I explained to her that I would gladly give her food and water and then she'd have to be on her way, cuz I didn't know anything about cats. Well, as I said she died in my arms at the Vet 18 years later. I miss her still.

I have been pet sitting for friends and family as a sideline for many years, and after my retirement from corporate America in 2000, I decided to do one of the things I love best and that would be care for pets. I love my service. I can't think of anything I would rather do at this point in my life. I have gathered together a staff of like-minded pet lovers, and I'm very fortunate to have such great associates surrounding me.
